From Fridge to Stage: How Red Bull Energized Sweden’s K-pop Movement
In spring 2025, a unique collaboration began to unfold between Kpop Nonstop and Red Bull Sweden. It wasn’t about big logos or flashy headlines — it was about fueling passion, performance, and potential.
For K-pop at Comic Con Stockholm — a full-day program powered by Kpop Nonstop — and for our Spring Final Show celebrating 10 years of KNS, Red Bull stepped in as a product partner, providing energy drinks to performers aged 18+.
Small gesture? Maybe. But for over 150 dancers and dozens of creatives, it was the energy boost we all needed.
“This wasn’t just about a fridge full of cans,” says Claudia Rios, Creative Director of Kpop Nonstop.
“It was about Red Bull recognizing our vision — the cultural movement we’ve built over time. It’s a unique connection rooted in trust, creativity, and shared values.”
A backstage favorite
Deliveries were coordinated across two venues — from K-Dance by KNS dance studio at Fryshuset to a larger stage at Dieselverkstaden — and the buzz was clear: performers stayed energized, hyped, and Red Bull became a natural part of the backstage flow. From warmups to cool-downs, those iconic cans made their rounds.
K-pop at Comic Con: Powered by Kpop Nonstop
For the first time ever, Comic Con Stockholm hosted an official K-pop dance contest — a format fully created and led by K-pop Nonstop. Alongside performances and workshops in the K-pop Zone, this marked a new level of visibility for Korean pop culture within one of Sweden’s largest fan conventions.
And the response was massive — a packed crowd, high-energy shows, and real recognition from both fans and partners.
🎉 As an added highlight, the winners of the contest were awarded scholarships from Hanyang University for a short-term language and culture program in Seoul — a milestone moment made possible through our international network.
Looking Ahead
While no official campaign was launched, Red Bull’s product support acknowledged the cultural impact of Kpop Nonstop — and Sweden’s fast-growing K-pop scene.
“In Red Bull, we recognized a partner that understands energy, audience connection, and cultural relevance,” says Claudia Rios, Creative Director of Kpop Nonstop.
It wasn’t only about what was given.
It was about what it represented — energy, presence, and a shared belief in what this movement stands for. Our vision is much bigger:
To power K-pop into new spaces — with creativity, credibility, and collaboration.
Thanks to the team at Red Bull Sweden for seeing the potential in our growing scene.
This marks the first step in a shared story — and we’re excited to see what could grow from it.
